Dr. G. Vikram

Dr. G. Vikram, Ph.D., MBA, is an Associate Professor in the School of Management with 17 years of industry experience and six years of teaching experience. He holds a B.E. from Bharathiar University, an MBA from Bharathidasan University, and a Ph.D. from Karunya University. His areas of teaching include Production and Operations Management, Information Systems, Freight Operations Management, Supply Chain Management and Analytics, Analytics for Managers, Data Visualization Tools, and Data Analysis and AI Tools.

His research interests include the use of technology in industry for operational efficiency, optimization techniques in operations, improving operational efficiency through AI/ML in production management, Generative AI, quantum computing, sustainability and green logistics, and circular economy and sustainability. He is a member of the Commerce and Management Association of India (CMAoI) and the Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Innovative Entrepreneurs, and Engineers Association (AMIEE). He is currently guiding three Ph.D. scholars.

Dr. G. Vikram has presented research at national and international conferences on topics including space management and sustainability in factories, process innovations in additive manufacturing, multi-objective optimization of supply chain pillars using algorithms, and automobile insurance policy switching behaviour. His research contributions also include publications on AI, data mining, statistical tools, digital business continuity, product and service quality, and the use of social feedback and helpful reviews for quality improvement, with several publications appearing in Scopus-indexed journals.

He has completed certifications in Toyota Production Systems, Business Analytics and Text Mining Modeling Using R, and Project Management through NPTEL, along with certification in Supply Chain Management and Analytics from Christ University. He has also completed Mastering the Integrated Program Management from Stanford Advanced Project Management Institution, Agile Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner through Udemy. His academic and professional interests reflect a focus on operations, analytics, technology, sustainability, and emerging digital technologies.
