Samkutty Samueal

Samkutty Samueal is a Professor of Practice in the School of Management with extensive professional experience in banking and finance. He holds an MBA from IGNOU, an M.Com. and B.Com. from Kerala University, CAIIB from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, and PGDBF and PGDPM from Pondicherry University. He has 35 years of industry experience and five years of teaching experience, with specializations in Banking and Finance.

His teaching areas include Financial Management, Legal Environment of Business, Management of Banks and Financial Institutions, and Management of Financial Services. His research interests include Mergers and Acquisitions and the Digitalization of Financial Services. His academic and professional interests are supported by his extensive experience in the banking and financial services sector.

Samkutty Samueal has contributed to research through publications on climate change and the role of banks and financial institutions in greening the banking system, blockchain applications in banking and Central Bank Digital Currency, and mega banking mergers and consolidation of banks in India. His publications include articles in the Scopus-indexed Multidisciplinary Science Journal and AIP Conference Proceedings. His recent publication area includes FinTech.

He is a Life Member of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance and a member of Toastmasters International. He has also completed a Diploma in Home Loan Advising from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance in 2009 and a Certificate on Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance in 2010. His academic qualifications, professional experience, and industry-oriented expertise contribute to his role as a Professor of Practice.
