Colonel Dr. Saji Abraham

Colonel Dr. Saji Abraham, Ph.D., is a Professor in the School of Management with 41 years of experience associated with the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and universities, including the University of Pune and Shivaji University, Kolhapur. He holds a B.A. with Science and Mathematics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, an M.Sc. from Madras University, an M.Sc. Tech. from the University of Pune (SPPU), an MBA in Human Resource Management from TGOU, an M.Phil. and a Ph.D. from the University of Pune. He has also completed a Higher Diploma in Management, General Management from IIM Kozhikode, UGC-NET in Management, and a Diploma in IT from CMC Pune.

His professional experience includes 26 years in industry and 15 years in teaching. His teaching areas include International Relations, Human Resource Management, Management, National Security, NBC Command and Control, Administration, Employment Philosophy of Tactical Cruise Missiles, and Indian Ocean and Maritime Philosophy. His research interests include International Relations and National Security, Human Resource Management, Recruitment, Training, and Rewards. He is associated with CENJOWS, New Delhi; the Regiment of Artillery Association, Nashik, Maharashtra; Veteran Member Indian Army; and WGC Wellington, Nilgiris.

Dr. Saji Abraham has contributed to research and academic activities through research guidance, with six Ph.D. scholars completed and one M.Phil. scholar under ongoing guidance. His publications and editorial contributions include works on modern trends in artillery, tactical cruise missiles and BrahMos, cyber security, Chinese influence in the Indian Ocean, and Indian maritime and security strategies. He has also contributed as a content compiler and editor for the Indian Army Newsletter and served as a guide and editor for books and other publications, including The Real Wani, Kargil Untold Stories, and Kerala Floods. His recent research contributions include review articles on biocrude generation from plastic waste through pyrolysis and the utilization of water treatment plant sludge for treating domestic wastewater, published in AIP Conference Proceedings in 2023.

His achievements include the Chief of Army Staff Commendation Award in 2004, Vice Chief of Army Staff Commendation Award in 2005, Army Commander Army Training Command, Shimla Commendation Award in 2007, and Army Commander Southern Command, Pune Commendation Award in 2015. His professional contributions encompass management, recruitment, administration, research, book editing, student guidance, motivation lectures, and media management, reflecting his extensive association with the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and academic institutions. He has a Pan-India and international professional profile.
