Prof. V. Lawrance

Prof. V. Lawrance is a Professor in the School of Management at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. He holds a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, an M.E. in Applied Electronics from PSG College of Technology, an M.B.A. from IGNOU, New Delhi, and B.G.L. and D.L.L. degrees from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai. His academic background reflects expertise across engineering, management, and law.

He has 34 years of industry experience, having served as General Manager in the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, along with 8 years of teaching experience. His teaching areas include Organizational Behavior and Management, Human Resource Management, Compensation Management, Management Information Systems and E-Commerce, Logistics Management, Materials and Inventory Management, International Logistics Management, Warehousing and Distribution Management, Strategic Reward Management, Talent Acquisition, and Information Technology for Managers.

His research interests include Human Resource Management practices and employee performance, Industrial Relations, Materials and Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management in the Automotive Industry, and Logistics Outsourcing. His professional memberships include Fellowship in the Institution of Engineers–India (FIE), Life Membership in the Indian Society for Technical Education (MISTE), and Life Membership in the Commerce and Management Association of India (CMAoI).

His recent research publications include Scopus-indexed studies in AIP Conference Proceedings covering recruitment processes in the automobile industry, biocrude generation from plastic waste using the pyrolysis process, and the optimum utilization of water treatment plant sludge for treating domestic wastewater. His academic and research contributions reflect his areas of interest in human resource management, logistics, supply chain management, and related interdisciplinary subjects.
