Dr. B. Giri Babu

Dr. B. Giri Babu is an Assistant Professor in the School of Management with an M.B.A. from Andhra University, completed in 2007, a Ph.D. from Acharya Nagarjuna University, awarded in 2022, and a B.Com. from Andhra University, completed in 2005. He has 18 years of teaching experience and one year of industry experience. He also completed a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) at IIM Ahmedabad in 2023.

His teaching areas include Financial Management, Investment Management, Operations Management, Principles of Management, International Business, Applications in Financial Management, Accounting for Management, Financial Markets and Services, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management. His research interests include Financial Literacy, Sustainable Finance, and Financial Performance of the Energy Sector. He is a member of APEX SDG and a lifetime member of CMAOI.

Dr. B. Giri Babu has experience in research guidance, serving as a supervisor for Ph.D. scholars, with four ongoing and one completed research work. His achievements include qualifying APSET in 2018, ratification by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in 2019 and KL, Deemed to be a University in 2023, and membership as an FDP alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad. He was also selected for the ICSSR-sponsored workshop at NITW and IPE-HYD in 2024 and 2025.

His research and academic publications cover areas including sustainable finance in the solar energy sector, accounting standards and financial reporting, entrepreneurship, economic growth and taxation, financial literacy, and water treatment and wastewater management. He has also co-authored the book Production and Operations Management, published by Taran Publications, New Delhi, in 2023. His professional contributions further include consultancy through Advanced Excel training for APEXSDG and serving as a Board of Studies member at Aditya University.
