Our Faculty Members
Dr. S. Senith, MBA.; M.Phil.; Ph.D
Dr. S. Senith is an academician, researcher, and management professional specializing in Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business Analytics, Marketing Analytics, HR Analytics, Business Intelligence, Predictive Modelling, and Artificial Intelligence applications in Marketing, with additional expertise in Media Production, Digital Content, Branding, and Strategic Communication. Her teaching and research interests include Marketing Research, Social Media Marketing, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Predictive Modelling, and Digital Media. She has published several research papers in national and international journals and authored five books in areas including Social Media Marketing, Branding, Mobile Advertising, and Consumer Behaviour.
Dr. Prasanth Koothoor is an Assistant Professor, School of Media, with research and teaching interests in AI in Media, Augmented and Virtual Reality in advertising, media consumption transformation, data-driven content creation, and the digital divide. He holds a Ph.D. in Journalism and Mass Communication from Bharathiar University. He has contributed 4 international journal publications, 4 international conference publications, and 6 national conference publications, along with a patent on enhancing social media literacy and combating fake news. He has also guided 5 Ph.D. theses.
M. Jennifer June is an Assistant Professor with research and teaching interests in Creative Writing, Advertising Strategy and Creative Campaign Design, Social Media Communication, Content Creation, Visual Communication for Emerging Media Platforms, and Audio Media Studies. She holds an M.Tech. in Multimedia Technology and a B.Tech. in Electronics and Media Technology, both from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. She has been serving at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences since June 2012 and has contributed 1 international journal publication.
Dr. Mallika Vijaya Kumar is an Assistant Professor, School of Media, with research and teaching interests in New Media Studies, Social Media Learning, Qualitative Communication, Environmental Communication, and Women and Media. She holds a Ph.D. in Social Media Communication from Bharathiar University, an M.A. in Communication from the University of Hyderabad, and a B.A. from Osmania University. She has contributed 12 international journal publications, 12 international conference publications, 10 national conference publications, and 7 book chapters, and has guided 2 completed and 3 ongoing Ph.D. theses. She also passed SLET in Journalism and Mass Communication in 2000.
Mr. Praveen Immanuel Paulraj J is an Assistant Professor with research and teaching interests in Photography, Video Production, Cloud Computing, Computer Communication, Graphic Design, Script Writing, Graphics and Animation, and Printing Technology. He holds an M.Tech. in Network Engineering from Kalasalingam University and a B.Tech. in Electronics and Media Technology from Karunya University. He has been serving at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences since June 2018 and has contributed 1 international conference publication and 2 national conference publications.
