Dr. P. Rajalakshmy, Associate Professor and Head, Division of Robotics Engineering

Dr. P. Rajalakshmy, M.E., Ph.D

Dr. P. Rajalakshmy is the Associate Professor and Head of the Division of Robotics Engineering, with 21 years of teaching experience and 11 years of research experience. Her expertise includes sensor technology, signal processing, soft computing, and rehabilitation robotics, with research focusing on rehabilitation robotics and system modeling. She has published 32 research papers, guided 4 Ph.D. scholars and 15 master's projects, and secured multiple funded research projects. She is a life member of ISTE, BMESI, and The Robotic Society, and received the Best Teacher Award (2013).

Dr. A. Johny Renoald, Professor (Research), Division of Robotics Engineering

Dr. A. Johny Renoald, M.E., Ph.D

Dr. A. Johny Renoald is a Professor (Research) specializing in power electronics for renewable energy systems and energy forecasting. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and has over 16 years of teaching experience, with expertise in renewable energy, power electronics, artificial intelligence, and power system analysis. His research contributions include more than 60 international journal publications, multiple patents, book chapters, and a Best Paper Award from IET Circuits, Devices & Systems.

Dr. M.S.P. Subathra, M.E., Ph.D

Dr. M.S.P. Subathra is a Professor specializing in optimization techniques, machine learning, sensor technology, signal processing, and power systems. She has over 24 years of teaching experience with research interests spanning artificial intelligence, renewable energy, control systems, and power systems. She has published 27 international research papers, guided 6 Ph.D. scholars and 30 postgraduate projects, and secured funded research projects from DST and MNRE.

Dr. V. Jegathesan, Associate Professor, Division of Robotics Engineering

Dr. V. Jegathesan, M.E., Ph.D

Dr. V. Jegathesan is an Associate Professor with over 22 years of teaching and 16 years of research experience. His research focuses on industrial automation, machine learning, control systems, and power electronics controllers. He has published 36 international journal papers, presented 28 international conference papers, and has received several awards for excellence in teaching and research.

Dr. X. Anitha Mary, M.E., Ph.D

Dr. X. Anitha Mary's research focuses on embedded systems, control and instrumentation, artificial intelligence, and IoT-based healthcare technologies. She has published 25 international journal papers, guided 6 Ph.D. scholars, secured multiple funded research projects, and received several awards, including the Outstanding Women Achiever Award and Best Researcher Award.

Dr. P. Anantha Christu Raj, M.Tech., Ph.D

Dr. P. Anantha Christu Raj specializes in advanced robotic process automation, industrial robotics, and sensor technology. His research focuses on robotic systems, system modelling and control, and energy-efficient technologies, with 20 international and 8 national journal publications. Dr. L.D. Vijay Anand, M.E., Ph.D

Dr. L.D. Vijay Anand specializes in industrial automation, process automation systems, and mobile robotics. Dr. J. David Raja Selvam, M.Tech., Ph.D

Dr. J. David Raja Selvam has expertise in CAD/CAM, additive manufacturing, design and manufacturing, and surface composites. His research focuses on digital manufacturing, friction stir processing, and laser welding, supported by over 40 international journal publications. He has completed a CARS-funded research project, received a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship from the University of Johannesburg, and was honored with the India's Inspiring Teachers Award 2021.

Mr. A. Athif Shah serves as Adjunct Faculty in the Division of Robotics Engineering. As Chairman and Managing Director of Abe Semiconductor Designs, Chennai, he brings extensive hands-on industry experience in semiconductor design to the Division's teaching and research activities, helping bridge academic learning with real-world engineering practices.
