Parents Meet 2020 by Dept. of Biotechnology, School of Agriculture and Biosciences

Department of Biotechnology, School of Agriculture and Biosciences, has organized Parents Meet 2020 on 29th February, 2020 was organized at 02:00 pm in Biotechnology Seminar Hall, Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (KITS), Coimbatore.

The meeting started with a word of prayer by Mr. Mr. Ramesh Siva (Final year Biotech) followed by prayer song lead by Marina and Team (3rd Year Biotech) and the welcome address by Dr. Jibu Thomas, Head, Department of Biotechnology. Dr. Jibu Thomas has welcomed the all parents and emphasize about the significance of these types of gathering. He appreciates the efforts taken by the parents to attend this meeting across the states and even from UAE. He also mentioned the word of appreciation to the coordinator for organizing this event in a good manner.  After welcome address video has been shown to the parents about featuring the department.

Presidential address is given by Prof. S. Jacob Annamalai, Dean-SABS on importance of parents meeting. He also mentioned the token of appreciation to all participants and coordinator to make this event as a grand success. Faculty introductory video has been presented after the presidential address followed by couple of Department performance video in academic, activities and placement, IAESTE, and sports.

Cultural events were organized for the parents. Ms. Sherin and Team (1st year Biotech), and Prathna and team (2nd Biotech) dance performances were awesome and made this event very colorful. Interactive Session and Feedback session was fruitful. HoD-Biotech and Dean-SABS has responded well for every input and query given by parents.
