Dr. P. Kingston Stanley

Dr. P. Kingston Stanley serves as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Robotics Engineering at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, having joined the institution on 5 July 2013. He holds a B.E. in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, an M.E. in Control and Instrumentation Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Instrumentation Engineering. With 8.5 years of teaching experience and 7.5 years of research experience, his areas of specialization include Automation and Optical Sensors, while his research focuses on Sensor Technology. He teaches a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to robotics, instrumentation, automation, sensors, medical electronics, process control, MEMS technology, and virtual instrumentation.

Dr. Kingston Stanley has established a strong academic and research profile through 23 publications, including 22 international and 1 national journal paper, along with presentations at 15 conferences comprising 10 international and 5 national conferences. He has actively participated in 55 national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, and symposiums, and has attended 10 Faculty Development Programmes and training programmes. He has also guided 10 postgraduate projects, contributing to student research and academic development.

His research contributions are centered on automation, instrumentation, optical sensing, embedded systems, industrial process control, medical electronics, wastewater treatment, and intelligent monitoring systems. His published research covers applications in healthcare, environmental monitoring, industrial automation, vehicle safety, wireless sensor systems, image processing, and embedded control technologies, reflecting his multidisciplinary expertise in robotics and instrumentation.

Dr. Kingston Stanley has successfully secured research grants for innovative projects including the Development of a Low Cost Wet Diaper Alert System, Real-Time Implementation of pH Neutralization in Wastewater Treatment Process, and Herbal Leaves Feature Extraction using BeagleBoard. These funded projects demonstrate his commitment to developing practical technological solutions in healthcare, environmental monitoring, and embedded systems, complementing his teaching and research activities in robotics and automation.
