Dr. V. Kavitha, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of robotics engineering at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Coimbatore. She holds two Ph.D. degrees in Mathematics, with specialization in Impulsive Differential Equations from Karunya University, Coimbatore, and Differential Equations from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. She also holds an M.Phil. in Mathematics, an M.Sc. in Mathematics, and a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Bharathiar University. She qualified the Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test in Mathematics in 2017.
Her research interests include Impulsive Differential Equations, Fractional Differential Equations, Almost Automorphic Functions, Differential Inclusions, and Control Theory. Her doctoral research includes studies on the existence and controllability of impulsive abstract functional differential systems with delay and almost automorphic solutions to fractional-order integro-differential systems in Banach spaces. She has guided two Ph.D. scholars to completion and is currently guiding one Ph.D. scholar, in addition to guiding an M.Sc. Mathematics project.
Dr. V. Kavitha has published 31 Scopus-indexed journal articles, including 12 peer-reviewed and 14 SCI publications, with a cumulative impact factor of 42.075. Her publications include research on impulsive neutral functional differential systems, fractional differential equations, fractional integro-differential inclusions, almost automorphic functions, and related topics. She has also authored the book Fundamentals of LaTeX and has contributed to collaborative research with Indian and foreign collaborators.
She has been associated with academic and research activities including guest lectures, paper presentations, and external Ph.D. viva voce examination. She received a Karunya Short Term Grant in 2020 and has a SERB-funded project under review. Her academic achievements include a Best Teacher Award from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences in 2012, membership on the editorial board of a journal, and reviewing for 11 journals. She also secured the 9th University Rank in M.Sc. Mathematics and received the first prize for proficiency in Mathematics during her M.Sc. studies at Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore.
