Dr. B. Jefferson Raja Bose

Dr. B. Jefferson Raja Bose is an Associate Professor in the Division of Mechanical Engineering at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Karunya University (2019), an M.E. in Energy Engineering from Anna University (2001), and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Bharathiar University (1999). His research interests include experimental heat transfer, nanofluid heat transfer in thermal energy systems, heat pipes for electronic cooling applications, and mini- and micro-channel heat transfer.

His research work focuses on heat transfer enhancement, nanofluids, thermal energy systems, electronic cooling, and mini- and micro-channel heat transfer. He has published 15 international journal papers and 2 international/national conference papers, with 167 Scopus citations, 203 Google Scholar citations, and an h-index of 6.

Dr. B. Jefferson Raja Bose has provided research guidance for 12 completed Master's theses. His teaching interests include Engineering Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics and Machinery, Engineering Thermodynamics, Thermal Engineering, Heat and Mass Transfer, and Refrigeration and Air-conditioning.

He has extensive academic experience in Mechanical Engineering at KITS, serving as Associate Professor and ACoE from 2021 onwards. He previously served as Assistant Professor and ACoE from 2017–2021, Assistant Professor from 2009–2017, Senior Lecturer and ACoE from 2007–2009, Senior Lecturer from 2005–2007, and Lecturer from 2002–2005. His academic and research contributions are centered on thermal engineering, heat transfer, nanofluids, and electronic cooling applications.
