Er. Joshua Prem Chandar is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Food Processing Technology at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He joined Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences on 24 June 2026.
He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. He completed his M.Tech. from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences in 2023 and his B.Tech. from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences in 2021.
His teaching areas include Bakery, Beverages and Confectionery Technology for Beginners, Food Packaging and Label Design, Basics of Food Microbiology (Lab), and Enzymes in Food Processing.
His research interests include valorization of food waste, food packaging, and food product development.
His academic work focuses on food processing and related areas, with particular interest in food packaging, food product development, and the effective utilization and valorization of food waste.
