Dr. Preethi D is an Assistant Professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering. She holds a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering, an M.E. in VLSI Design with distinction, and a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering with distinction. Her academic and research work focuses on VLSI, artificial intelligence, IoT, and intelligent hardware.
Her research interests include VLSI, artificial intelligence, IoT, embedded systems, energy-efficient hardware, biomedical signal processing, intelligent automation, smart healthcare, computer vision, and edge computing. Her work integrates hardware design and intelligent computational technologies for healthcare and connected applications.
Dr. Preethi D. has contributed 18 journal publications, 26 international conference publications, and 10 national publications. She has contributed to six patents and was associated with the Smart Handwash Monitoring Device project under DST Nidhi Prayas, with a sanctioned amount of ₹2.75 lakh.
Her academic achievements include the Best Young Women Faculty Award and the Young Woman Researcher in VLSI Design recognition.
