Dr. D. Nirmal is a Professor with more than 18 years of teaching and research experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Nano Device Modelling, an M.E. in VLSI Design, and a B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. His academic and research work focuses on advanced semiconductor and nanoelectronic technologies.
His research interests include nanoelectronics, graphene, carbon nanotubes, GaN-based devices, nanoscale device modelling, device simulation, and sensor technologies. His work also encompasses the analysis and development of advanced electronic devices for high-frequency, high-power, and emerging semiconductor applications.
Dr. Nirmal has contributed 120 journal publications, 55 international conference publications, and 13 book and book-chapter publications. His research contributions include studies on AlGaN/GaN HEMTs, self-heating analysis, high-power applications, RF performance, nanoscale device structures, and semiconductor device modelling. He has also contributed to collaborative research involving emerging semiconductor devices and advanced electronic systems. His academic profile reflects sustained engagement in nanoelectronics, VLSI, semiconductor device modelling, simulation, and research-oriented technological development.
