Dr. A. Albert Rajan

Dr. A. Albert Rajan is an Associate Professor, Division of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, and also serves as Deputy Registrar (Student Affairs). He holds a Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai, an M.E. in Applied Electronics from Bharathiar University, and a B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bharathiar University. He has been involved in higher education and research since November 2000 and has more than two decades of experience in teaching, research, academic administration, and student-centered leadership.

His areas of expertise include Special Electrical Drives, Reconfigurable Controllers, Energy-Efficient Electrical Systems, and Artificial Intelligence Techniques for ADHD Analysis. His research work demonstrates an interdisciplinary focus combining electrical engineering, intelligent controllers, artificial intelligence, biomedical signal analysis, and energy-efficient technologies. His academic contributions include research involving BLDC motor drives, reconfigurable controllers, heat-pipe applications, electronic-system cooling, and AI-based analysis of EEG signals.

His ORCID profile records 17 research works, comprising journal articles and conference papers. His publications cover areas including ADHD detection and classification using EEG signals, machine learning, artificial intelligence, intelligent electrical drives, BLDC motor control, heat-pipe technologies, nanofluid-based cooling, security surveillance, and renewable or energy-related applications. He has also contributed to peer-review activities for journals including Australian Journal of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering Advances, and IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement.

His professional activities include membership in IEEE and the Indian Society for Technical Education. His recorded research funding includes projects on the Design and Development of Sintered Nickel Wick Structure for Loop Heat Pipe Applications and Hardware Accelerator, Energy Efficient Deep Learning Architectures. He has also contributed significantly to academic administration in his role as Deputy Registrar (Student Affairs), alongside his responsibilities as an Associate Professor in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
