Dr. K. Vidhya

Dr. Vidhya K is an Associate Professor in the Division of Data Science and Cyber Security at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University and has over 18 years of teaching experience along with industry exposure. Her research focuses on Generative AI, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, and healthcare data analytics.

Her research has significantly contributed to artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud security, medical image analysis, and IoT applications. She has published numerous research articles in reputed Scopus- and SCI-indexed journals and conferences, authored books and book chapters, and developed innovative prototype models. She has also published patents in areas including smart healthcare, cloud computing, and AI-based systems.

Dr. Vidhya possesses strong technical expertise in deep learning, language models, cloud computing, big data analytics, TensorFlow, AWS, OpenStack, Python, Java, and Linux-based systems. She has completed several professional certifications from Coursera, NVIDIA, and CDAC, established cloud computing laboratories, and contributed to curriculum development, technical training, and instructional material creation.

In addition to her research and teaching, she has actively served as a resource person by delivering technical seminars, workshops, internships, and faculty development programmes on cloud computing, virtualization, artificial intelligence, and related emerging technologies. Her academic, research, and technical contributions continue to support innovation and advanced learning in data science and cybersecurity.
