Dr. V.M. Arul Xavier

Dr. Arul Xavier V M is an Assistant Professor (Regular) in Computer Science and Engineering at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, where he has been serving since 2009. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, an M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, and a B.Tech. in Information Technology from Madras University.

His research interests include Data Science, Software Application Development, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision. His teaching interests encompass Python Programming, Data Science, Object-Oriented Programming in Java, Web Technology, Full Stack Development, Machine Learning Techniques, C# and .NET Programming, and Mobile Application Development using Android.

Dr. Arul Xavier V M has contributed 12 international journal publications and 21 international/national conference publications, with 252 Scopus citations, 345 Google Scholar citations, and an h-index of 6. He has undertaken a consultancy project titled Rural Agriculture Work Experience Automation System for the Division of Agriculture at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, with funding of Rs. 1,15,800 in 2023.

He has guided 10 completed Master of Engineering theses and is currently guiding 1 Ph.D. scholar. His professional development includes the Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer certification from Oracle in 2014 and a Summer Industry Experience Faculty Internship at Carnation InfoTech, Lucknow, in 2019. His academic experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences from 2009 onwards and as a Lecturer at the same institution from 2007 to 2009.
