Dr. S. Jeba Priya

Dr. S. Jeba Priya is an Assistant Professor (Regular) in Computer Science and Engineering at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, where she has been serving since 2013. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University and an M.Tech. in Network and Internet Engineering from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. She joined Karunya in May 2010 and has academic experience in Computer Science and Information Technology.

Her research interests include Signal Processing, Pattern Techniques, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. Her teaching interests encompass Machine Learning Techniques, Computer Architecture and Organization, Robotic Process Automation, Data Virtualization, Ethics in Information Technology, Advanced Computer Networks, Microprocessor and Microcontroller, Data Warehouse and Data Mining, Mobile Computing, and Digital System Design.

Dr. Jeba Priya has contributed 11 international journal publications and 14 international/national conference publications, with 112 Scopus citations, 214 Google Scholar citations, and an h-index of 11. She has also undertaken a research project titled Development of Cognitive IoT Application for Diagnosis of Depression in Students and Treatment Using CBT Chatbot, funded by ICMR – India, with funding of Rs. 18.19 lakhs in 2023.

She is currently guiding 1 Ph.D. scholar and has guided 5 completed Master of Engineering theses. Her academic experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor in Computer Science and Engineering at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences from 2013 onwards and as a Lecturer in Information Technology at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences from 2010 to 2012.
