Prof. S.E. Vinodh EWARDS is an Associate Professor (Regular) with academic qualifications including an M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi, and a B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Coimbatore, both completed with First Class. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity. He has been associated with Karunya since February 2004 and has contributed to teaching and research in computer science and related areas.
He has held several academic and technical positions at Karunya University, including Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Assistant Professor (SG), and Associate Professor. His professional experience also includes serving as a Network Engineer, with responsibilities involving the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the campus computer network. He has also served as Head of the Computer Technology Centre, with additional responsibility for managing campus IT infrastructure, including servers, computers, networks, IT services, and UPS systems.
His teaching interests include Computer Networks, Large Language Models, Data Structures and Algorithms, Python Programming Laboratory, and Programming for Problem Solving Laboratory. His research record includes 19 international journal publications and 15 international/national conference publications, with 147 Scopus citations, 198 Google Scholar citations, and an h-index of 7. He has also provided guidance for 29 Master's theses.
In addition to his academic responsibilities, he has served as Head of the Karunya Innovation and Design Studio, focusing on the Innovation and Design Studio, and as Deputy Director (IIE), with responsibilities related to Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship. His professional contributions combine teaching and research with campus IT infrastructure management, innovation, incubation, entrepreneurship, and technology-related responsibilities at Karunya University.
