Dr. S. Daniel Madan Raja

Dr. Daniel Madan Raja S is an Associate Professor (Regular) in Computer Science and Engineering at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. and M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University and Madras University, respectively, along with a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Madras University. His research interests include Image Processing, Machine Learning, and Computer Networks.

He has been associated with Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences since 2023. Prior to this, he served as Associate Professor and Head, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Senior Lecturer, and Lecturer in Information Technology at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology. His teaching interests include Cryptography and Network Security, Computer Networks, Cyber Forensics, System Software, Mobile Computing, Computer Architecture, Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, and Operating Systems.

His research contributions include 27 international journal publications and 18 international/national conference publications. He has received 46 Scopus citations and 109 Google Scholar citations, with an h-index of 5. He has guided 2 Ph.D. theses and 2 M.E. theses to completion and is currently guiding 6 Ph.D. scholars and 1 M.E. thesis. His research interests encompass image processing, machine learning, and computer networks.

He is associated with five published Indian patent applications covering fruit disease detection using deep learning, evolutionary deep forward networks, cloud computing security and productivity, medical image separation and data retrieval using artificial intelligence, and data security and privacy in cloud storage for healthcare systems. His academic profile reflects contributions in teaching, research, postgraduate guidance, and innovation through patents.
