Dr. M. Manicka Raja

Dr. M. Manicka Raja is an Assistant Professor (Regular) in Computer Science and Engineering at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. He joined the institution on 04/06/2024. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University (2023), an M.Tech. in Network and Internet Engineering from Karunya University (2013), and a B.Tech. in Information Technology from Anna University (2010).

His research interests include Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, Fog Computing, and Machine Learning. He has contributed 5 international journal publications and 7 international/national conference publications, with 2 Scopus citations, 16 Google Scholar citations, and an h-index of 2. His research contributions also include the published Indian patent “AI Based Device for Bar Code Graphics Quality Control and for Processing Image Data Relating to Bar Codes,” Application No. 202341008219, published in 2023.

Dr. Manicka Raja has guided two completed Master’s theses. His professional development includes certifications in Database Design and Programming with SQL from Oracle (2014), Cloud Infrastructure and Services from Dell EMC (2016), and Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft (2021). These certifications complement his research interests in cloud computing, IoT, and related computing technologies.

His teaching interests include Data Analytics, High Performance Computing, Problem Solving and Python Programming, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Internet Programming, Distributed Systems, Cloud Computing, Computer Networks, and Object-Oriented Programming. He has served as an Assistant Professor at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, Hindusthan Institute of Technology, SCAD Institute of Technology, and Loyola Institute of Technology and Science, with academic experience spanning from 2013 to the present.
