Dr. Mythily M is an Associate Professor (Regular) in Computer Science and Engineering at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, an M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Government College of Technology, and a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Avinashilingam Deemed University. Her research interests include Data Science, Large Language Models, Chatbots, Design Patterns, Model Transformation, and Auto Code Generation.
She has been associated with Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences since 2009, serving as an Assistant Professor and subsequently as an Associate Professor in Computer Science and Engineering. Her professional experience also includes serving as an Assistant Software Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services, Teaching Assistant at Government College of Technology, and Lecturer at Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology. Her teaching interests include Java Programming, Data Science, Python Programming, Agile Software Development, Spring Framework, Design Patterns, C Programming, and C++ Programming.
Her research contributions include 18 international journal publications and 11 international/national conference publications. She has received 20 Scopus citations and 22 Google Scholar citations, with an h-index of 3. She has guided 12 Master of Engineering theses to completion and is currently guiding 1 Ph.D. scholar. Her research interests encompass data science, large language models, chatbots, model transformation, design patterns, and automatic code generation.
She has contributed to consultancy projects including the Rural Agriculture Work Experience Automation System, The Dreamer Cop Application, and the Rural Women Upliftment Program in 2023. She is also the inventor of three published Indian patent applications covering automatic model transformation, sign language recognition, and healthcare monitoring using a virtual cloud server. She authored the textbook Fundamentals of Data Science, published by BonFring in 2023.
