Dr. J.A.M. Rexie

Dr. J.A.M. Rexie is an Assistant Professor (Regular) in Computer Science and Engineering at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Karunya University, an M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, and a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. He joined Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences in 2011 and has extensive academic experience in Computer Science and Engineering.

His research interests include Pattern Matching, DNA Sequencing, and Machine Learning. He has contributed 4 international journal publications and 7 international/national conference publications, with 7 Scopus citations, 10 Google Scholar citations, and an h-index of 2. His research contributions include a filed Indian patent application for a System and Method for Automatic Model Transformation using Behavior Extraction and Software Modelling.

Dr. Rexie has supervised 10 Master’s theses and is currently guiding one Ph.D. thesis. His professional development includes training in Ethereum and Hyperledger Fabric Overview by Emurgo in 2020, Train the Trainer in Exploring Machine Learning using R by Infosys in 2017, and Emerging Agile Methodologies by Cognizant in 2017.

His teaching interests include Data Structures, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Theory of Computation, Compiler Design, and Python Programming. His academic experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences and Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology, as well as a Lecturer at SCAD College of Engineering and Technology, contributing to his teaching and academic experience in Computer Science and Engineering.
