Dr. E. Bijolin Edwin

Dr. E. Bijolin Edwin is an Associate Professor (Regular) in Computer Science and Engineering at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University and an M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University. His research interests include Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and Cloud Computing, reflecting his academic focus on emerging technologies and computational applications.

He has been associated with Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences since 2008, serving as an Assistant Professor and subsequently as an Associate Professor in Computer Science and Engineering. His teaching interests include Python Programming, Distributed Computing, Agile Software Development, Social Network Analysis, Computer Vision, Software Engineering, and Multimedia Systems Design.

His research contributions include 12 international journal publications and 11 international/national conference publications, along with 278 Google Scholar citations and an h-index of 8. He is currently guiding 4 Ph.D. scholars. His research interests span Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and Cloud Computing, with teaching interests covering programming, distributed computing, software engineering, computer vision, and multimedia systems.

He is the inventor of the published Indian patent application Internet of Things Based Food Recommendation System, Indian Patent Application No. 02341026636 A (2023). He has also authored the textbooks Introduction to Data Science and Database Management Systems, published by Charulatha Publications in 2023 and 2022, respectively. He holds the Getting Started with AWS Machine Learning certification from Google, obtained in 2021.
