Dr. D. Brindha

Dr. Brindha is an Assistant Professor (Regular) in Computer Science and Engineering at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. and M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, and a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from VLB Janakiammal College of Engineering and Technology. She joined Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences in 2021 and has extensive academic experience in Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Her research interests include Machine Learning and Image Processing. She has contributed 8 international journal publications and 7 international/national conference publications, with 10 Scopus citations, 13 Google Scholar citations, and an h-index of 2. Her research contributions include two published patent applications related to automatic model transformation using behavior extraction and software modeling, and AI-based temperature control using phase change material in a turbine nacelle.

Dr. Brindha has authored the book Blockchain Intelligent Systems: Protocols, Application and Approaches for Future Generation Computing, published by CRC Press in 2023. She is also supervising one Ph.D. thesis. Her professional development includes the PCAP: Programming Essentials in Python certification from Cisco in 2023.

Her teaching interests include Python Programming, Programming for Problem Solving, Computer Architecture, Theory of Computation, and Microprocessor and Microcontroller. Her professional experience includes roles as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Lecturer across Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and Electronics and Communication Engineering, contributing to her academic and teaching experience across these disciplines.
