Dr. A. Samson Arun Raj

Dr. A. Samson Arun Raj is an Assistant Professor (Regular) in Computer Science and Engineering at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, an M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Karunya University, and a B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Karunya University. He joined Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences in June 2021.

His research interests include Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks, Intelligent Transportation Systems, and Smart City Development. He has contributed 7 international journal publications and 7 international/national conference publications, with 24 Scopus citations, 86 Google Scholar citations, and an h-index of 5. His research project, Forest Fire Detection and Surveillance Monitoring using IoT Technology, was supported by the Karunya Short Term Grant (Students) in 2024.

Dr. Samson Arun Raj has served as a reviewer for the Journal of Ad Hoc Networks and Journal of Peer-to-Peer Networking and Applications since 2020. His teaching interests include Data Structures and Algorithms, Internet of Things, Programming for Problem Solving, Reinforcement Learning, and Software Engineering.
