Dr. K. Lakshmi Priya

Dr. K. Lakshmi Priya is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Commerce and International Trade at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, with over 20 years of teaching experience and 15 years of research experience. She specializes in Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Finance, with extensive expertise in accounting, financial management, banking, business law, marketing, and research methodology. She holds B.Com., M.Com., M.B.A. (Finance), M.Com. (Computer Applications), and Ph.D. in Commerce, and has consistently contributed to commerce education through teaching, research, and academic leadership.

Dr. Lakshmi Priya has published 27 research papers (20 national and 7 international) and presented 36 research papers at national and international conferences. She has attended 10 Faculty Development Programmes, guided 5 M.Phil. scholars, and is currently supervising one Ph.D. scholar. Her research focuses on marketing, finance, banking, financial inclusion, women entrepreneurship, consumer behaviour, digital marketing, financial technology, and business management. She has also authored a book and contributed several book chapters in the fields of commerce, finance, and digital business.

She is an active member of several academic and professional bodies, serving as a reviewer, Board of Studies member, subject expert, and member of the International Association of Engineers (IAENG). Her academic excellence has been recognized through distinctions such as University Third Rank in M.Com. from Madurai Kamaraj University and the TIP Inspiring Educators of the Year Award (2021). Prior to joining Karunya in 2021, she served in various academic leadership roles, including Associate Professor and Dean, at reputed institutions across Tamil Nadu.

Dr. Lakshmi Priya has made significant contributions to teaching, research, curriculum development, and academic governance throughout her career. Her scholarly work includes publications in reputed national and international journals covering finance, banking, financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, marketing, consumer behaviour, digital marketing, and financial technology. She continues to contribute to higher education through research supervision, professional collaborations, academic service, and the advancement of commerce and management education.
