Dr. Anu Jacob, M.Tech., Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor who joined the institution on 06/01/2010. She obtained her B.Tech. from the University of Kerala in 2006, M.Tech. from Karunya University in 2010, and Ph.D. from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences in 2020.
Her teaching areas include Bioprocess Principles, Downstream Processing, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Bioprocess Calculation, and Enzyme Engineering. Her research interests include phytochemicals, plant cell culture, and bioprocess.
Her recent research publications focus on dynamic modelling of growth and flavonoid production from Ocimum tenuiflorum suspension culture, enhancement of flavonoid production from Ocimum tenuiflorum using response surface methodology, therapeutic potential of dietary flavonoids against viral-borne infections, and the biocontrol potential of extracellular proteins from Xenorhabdus nematophilus against dengue vectors.
