Dr. R. Vignesh

Dr. R. Vignesh is an Assistant Professor at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, completed in 2024, a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, completed in 2016, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, completed in 2014. His research interests include Machine Learning Applications, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Computer Vision, Custom Vision, Cloud Computing, and Computer Programming.

His teaching interests include Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Database Systems, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Web Development, and Cybersecurity. He has been associated with Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences since 2024. His previous professional experience includes service at Muthayammal Engineering and Technology, Sasurie Academy of Engineering, Arunai College of Engineering, and RND Softech.

His research contributions include 4 international journal publications and 14 international conference publications, with 9 Scopus citations, 9 Google Scholar citations, and an h-index of 2. His research work spans machine learning, natural language processing, deep learning, reinforcement learning, computer vision, cloud computing, and related intelligent computing applications.

Dr. R. Vignesh has guided 19 Bachelor of Engineering projects to completion and is currently guiding 7 undergraduate projects, along with 6 ongoing Ph.D. scholars. His academic and research expertise in machine learning, artificial intelligence, computer vision, cloud computing, programming, and cybersecurity contributes to teaching, research, and student development in the Division of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences.
