Dr. Joyce Beryl Princess P

Dr. Joyce Beryl Princess P is an Assistant Professor at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, completed in 2026, a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, completed in 2010, and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Anna University, completed in 2006. She has been serving as an Assistant Professor at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences since August 2021 and previously worked as a Senior Research Fellow and at other academic institutions.

Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Generative AI. Her teaching interests span Programming in C, Java, and Python, Data Structures and Algorithms, Operating Systems, Android Programming, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Soft Computing, Computer Vision, Data Science, and Generative AI.

Dr. Joyce Beryl Princess P has published 11 international journal articles and 20 international conference papers, with 90 Scopus citations, 113 Google Scholar citations, and an h-index of 5. Her intellectual property contributions include a published patent application for an Intelligent Speech Assistive System for Voiceless People and a granted patent for an AI System for Post-Crash Care on Road Traffic Injuries.

Dr. Joyce Beryl Princess P has guided 2 Master of Engineering students and 18 Bachelor of Engineering students to completion and is currently guiding 7 undergraduate students. Her academic and research expertise across artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and generative AI contributes to teaching, research, and student development in the Division of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences.
