Mr. Harivignesh K. S

Mr. Harivignesh K. S. is an Assistant Professor at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, a Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, completed during 2024–2026, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Bioinformatics from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, completed during 2013–2017. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity, Biomedical Image Processing, and Active Directory Security.

His teaching interests include AI for Cybersecurity, Biomedical Image Processing, Cybersecurity, and Information Security Management Systems. He has been serving as an Assistant Professor at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences since 2026. Prior to joining Karunya, he worked as a Security Researcher at Ehackify Cybersecurity Research from 2022 to 2024.

His research contributions include 1 international journal publication and 1 international conference publication. He is associated with CVE-2024-0722, referenced through NIST/NVD. His research and professional interests focus on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, biomedical image processing, and Active Directory security.
