Dr. D. Darling Jemima

Dr. D. Darling Jemima is an Assistant Professor at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Deep Learning with Medical Imaging from Anna University, Chennai, completed during 2019–2026, a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from PSG College of Technology, completed during 2014–2016, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Tindivanam Campus, completed during 2010–2014. Her research interests include Deep Learning and Medical Image Analysis and Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare.

Her teaching interests include Deep Learning, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare. She has 7 years of teaching experience and 1 year of industry experience. Her academic focus integrates deep learning and medical imaging with healthcare-oriented artificial intelligence.

Her research contributions include 2 international journal publications and 10 international conference publications, with 22 Scopus citations, 27 Google Scholar citations, and an h-index of 3. Her patent contributions include an Autonomous Smart Stretcher System for Intra-Hospital Patient Transportation using Image Processing, a robotic firefighting device, and a Smart Trolley. Her project contributions include work on automatic counting of spine vertebrae and live media streaming from Camera-ICU.

Dr. D. Darling Jemima is currently guiding 7 Bachelor of Engineering projects. She has also served as a Guest Editor/Section Reviewer for Frontiers in Psychiatry.
