Dr. D. Narmadha

Dr. D. Narmadha is an Associate Professor in the Division of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. She has been associated with the institution as an Assistant Professor since May 2012, following her service as a Lecturer from May 2011 to April 2012. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, completed in 2021, a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, completed in 2011, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Francis Xavier Engineering College, affiliated to Anna University, completed in 2006.

Her research interests include Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision. Her teaching interests span Machine Learning, Database Management Systems, Soft Computing, Data Visualization, and Data Science.

Dr. D. Narmadha has published 21 international journal publications and 28 international and national conference publications, with 71 Scopus citations, 99 Google Scholar citations, and an h-index of 5. Her research contributions include a patent for Target Protein Prediction for Infectious Diseases, filed under Application No. 202141057926 A and published on 17 December 2021. She has guided three Master of Engineering scholars and 18 Bachelor of Engineering scholars to completion and is currently guiding one Ph.D. scholar and six Bachelor of Engineering scholars.

Dr. D. Narmadha’s academic and research contributions reflect her continued engagement in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and related areas of Computer Science and Engineering, supporting the teaching, research, and mentoring activities of the Division of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
