Mrs. M. K. Abirami

Mrs. M. K. Abirami is an Assistant Professor at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Quantum Cryptography at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. She holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, completed in 2016, a Master’s degree in Psychology, Guidance and Counseling from Mother Teresa Women’s University through DDE, completed in 2015, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from SASTRA University, completed in 2013. Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, Deep Learning, AI for Cybersecurity, and Agentic AI.

Her teaching interests include Python, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL, Operating Systems, Computer Organization and Architecture, Artificial Intelligence, and AI for Cybersecurity. She has served as an Assistant Professor and has professional experience as an ETL Analyst, Freelance Technical Trainer, Amazon Kindle Tester, and Oracle PL/SQL Developer.

Her research contributions include 4 international conference publications, with 3 Scopus citations, 1 Google Scholar citation, and an h-index of 1. Her research interests focus on artificial intelligence, quantum computing, deep learning, cybersecurity applications of AI, and agentic AI. Her ongoing doctoral research in Quantum Cryptography further reflects her engagement with emerging technologies in computing and information security.

Mrs. M. K. Abirami brings academic and professional experience spanning teaching, technical training, data engineering, software testing, and database development. Her combination of academic qualifications, ongoing doctoral research, professional experience, and expertise in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, cybersecurity, programming, and data technologies contributes to teaching and research in the Division of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences.
