Mr. Kesavan M

Mr. Kesavan M is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Aerospace Engineering at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, having joined the institution on 16 June 2025. He holds a B.E. and M.E. in Aeronautical Engineering from Anna University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering at Karunya University.

Mr. Kesavan has 11 years of teaching and research experience and specializes in Gas Turbine Engines, Rocket Propulsion, and High-Speed Aerodynamics. His research focuses on ignition, combustion, and propellants. He teaches core aerospace subjects including Aircraft Propulsion, Rocket Propulsion, Aerodynamics, Combustion in Jet and Rocket Engines, and Experimental Aerodynamics.

His research contributions include publications in Scopus and other recognized journals, along with presentations at international conferences. He holds three patents and has guided postgraduate and undergraduate student projects. He also secured funding from the NewGen IEDC Scheme of the Division of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, for the design and fabrication of a low-speed subsonic tabletop wind tunnel.

Mr. Kesavan actively contributes to the Division through his responsibilities as Academic Coordinator and MOOC Coordinator. His expertise in propulsion, combustion, and experimental aerodynamics supports both academic excellence and research development in aerospace engineering.
