SHORT BIO Samar K. Saha (Life Fellow, IEEE) is the Chief Scientist with Prospicient Devices, USA, and an Adjunct Faculty Member with the Electrical Engineering Department, Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, CA, USA. He has authored over 100 research papers; two books, FinFET Devices for VLSI Circuits and Systems (USA: CRC Press, 2020) and Compact Models for Integrated Circuit Design: Conventional Transistors and Beyond (USA: CRC Press, 2015); one book chapter on Technology Computer-Aided Design; and holds 12 U.S. patents. He is the recipient of 2021 IEEE EDS Distinguished Service Award. He served as the 2016–2017 President of the IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS) and is currently serving as the Senior Past President of EDS. He is a Distinguished Lecturer of EDS and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, U.K. |

SHORT BIO Dr Manish Kumar Hooda has done his Masters in Electronics with specialization in Microelectronics. He Received his Ph.D. in Microelectronics from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, India. He has started his carrier as a VLSI design Engineer at ST Microelectronics followed by Associate Scientist at CSIO Chandigarh. He joined I.S.R.O. (SCL) in 2004 since then he has been working on development of fabrication processes for VLSI ASIC, MEMS/NEMS devices. He has been responsible for Process Integration for various VLSI ASICs, MEMS/NEMS devices. He has a research experience of more than 18 years In VLSI, MEMS and ASIC Fabrication & Process Integration. His research Area is focused on Development of MEMS and NEMS Devices for Micro-propulsion Systems for Space and Bio Medical Applications, Device Development based on Hetrostructures HEMTs, Power Devices, optical devices based on III-V compound Semi-conductors on Silicon. Presently, he is responsible for developing and augmenting new Semiconductor Technologies required for India's future Space and strategic programme. |

SHORT BIO N . Kumarappan received the Graduate degree from Madurai Kamaraj University, Tamil Nadu, India in 1982, the Post-Graduate degree from Annamalai University, Annamalai Nagar, India in 1989 and the Ph.D. degree from CEG Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India in 2004 under QIP fellowship AICTE, India. He is the former head of the department and currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Annamalai University. He is having 33 years of experience to his credit as an educator and researcher. He has published more than 130 international journal and conference papers. International Journal Papers – 44, IEEE digital library – 36, Internationalconference – 65, National conference – 9. His current research interests include power system operation and control, electricity price forecasting, EHV transmission fault diagnosis, FACTS devices, power system reliability, artificial intelligence techniques, micro grid, distributed generation and smart grid. Dr.Kumarappan is a Life Fellow of the Institution of Engineer’s (India) and a Life Member of the Indian Society of Technical Education. He was the recipient of the IEEE Madras Section Motivation Award in 2010 and the Certificate of Appreciation in 2012, third rank in the chapter activities 2015. |
