        Testimonies by our Alumni

        Kevin Sam

It’s my absolute pleasure to write about Karunya and the Department of Computer Science. Looking back I truly cherish the four years I was able to spend in Karunya. Right from the very first day I stepped foot in Karunya for my admission, I found a difference. The following four years was my journey to the realization of what made Karunya different. The pre engineering program during the first year provided a tasting menu of all major engineering disciplines and set the pace for the coming years in our department. By our second year I was introduced to my department. Our department had a group of wonderful, passionate and committed staff. They were always motivating and ever present to help. The choice based credit system gave us the freedom to customize our semesters according to our preference. The department also presented us with ample opportunities to ensure our holistic development. Certification courses and industrial collaborations brought more knowledge into the program. The career guidance cell of the department made sure that we were industry ready and competent by the time we graduate. We had opportunities for extra-curricular development through various clubs and sports activities. Though the university collaborations I was able carry out my final year project in Ben-Gurion University, Israel. The curriculum and the infrastructure of Karunya are in par with international standards. The vibrant and diverse community in Karunya helped me network and make wonderful friends. In retrospect Karunya gave me the perfect atmosphere to pursue my dreams and follow my passion. I am always truly grateful to the department and all the wonderful staff who has helped me to graduate with the highest honors. The university anthem goes “one in a million we are his choice” and Karunya made me realize it. Karunya stays true to the values it was found on and I am proud to be a testament of it.

        Sherin George

My sincere appreciation & gratitude to the Training & Placement Cell and all the faculties of Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences for their efforts in imparting quality technical and aptitude training. I am very grateful to them for effectively and sincerely helping me to grab the first ever opportunity that came into my life. From being not eligible for the placements to getting an offer in one of the best product based companies is a dream come true for me. Above all, I thank Lord Almighty for his grace and mercy on me. I would like to ask the juniors to concentrate on self-study. Respect the faculties and learn from them but do not be dependent on anyone. There are enough resources on the Internet to explore. Nothing can substitute to plain hard work. I had to put in the time and studied continuously for hours every day. I was completely committed to working out to prove to myself that I could do it. Do your best and God will do the rest. All the best!!
        Celesta Mathews

I am Celesta Mathews from final year, Computer Sciences Technology , Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my faculties and all the staff members for the support and guidance I have received. They have helped me throughout my journey to be placed at Nutanix Inc. It was not just about the opportunities they gave me but also the motivation and the spirit to stay updated and aware of the latest trends and technology. The journey was tough but I was well prepared for it. All this helped me to reach a step ahead and start my career in the field that I always wanted to be in.
