The Department of physics is enriched with well qualified and experienced faculty members with research background. The Department offers M.Sc, M.Phil. and Ph.D prgrammes in physics. The thrust areas of research in the Department includes Nanomaterials, Thin films, Crystal growth & Nanofluids. A Centre for Nanotechnology with state of art equipments such as XRD, SEM, PL, AFM, Particle size analyser, Ball miller etc. has also been established to concentrate on the development of technologies for the production of nanomaterials and characterization.
