INFRASTRUCTURE
The Department of Education has 2486.361 Sqm. plinth area with the excellent and modern infrastructural and instructional facilities like modern Educational Technology Lab, innovative Psychology Lab and advanced Science Lab.  All classrooms, seminar halls and faculty rooms are spacious and have very good aeration.  All classrooms are having adequate number of modern furniture.  The faculty rooms are also fully furnished with modern furniture along with a computer system for each faculty member. 

EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY LAB
The Department of Education concentrates more on the inclusion of technology in education and also provides opportunity to the trainees and research scholars to develop innovative instructional designs, instructional software, modern methods of teaching etc. Educational Technology lab is equipped with all necessary equipments like TV, Computers with Internet connection, LCD projector, Slide Projector and Over Head Projector, Public Addressing System, Digital Video Camera with accessories, Still Camera with accessories. Apart from that, there are number of animation and graphics software like Maya, Macromedia Flash, Adobe Photoshop, 3ds Max available in the Computer Lab to enable the students to create instructional software.  Further, there is a well equipped and highly modernized video studio available in the department of Media Technology, which can be shared by the department of education to create instructional software.   

PSYCHOLOGY LAB
The Psychology Lab provides the methods, techniques and equipments for the trainees / research scholars to know and understand the psychology of the pupils and also it provides opportunities to develop new principles and theories for teaching and learning. In Psychology Lab, the apparatus like Human Maze, Memory Drum, Mirror Drawing, Attention Board, Finger Dexterity and Illusion Board are adequately available with good working condition.  Further, the paper – pencil method questionnaire like Intelligence test batteries, Personality questionnaires, Values oriented scales, Raven’s Color matrix intelligence non-verbal tool, Multiple Intelligence questionnaire, Emotional Intelligence questionnaire, Language aptitude and mathematics aptitude tests, and attitudes scales are adequately available.  

SCIENCE LAB
Science Laboratory has been built based on the ‘Principle of Learning by doing’ and ‘Principle of Discovery’. It provides opportunities to the student trainees to develop their skill in constructing, designing, maintaining a science laboratory and utilizing the laboratory to teach and to do research. Science lab is equipped with adequate number of models, slides, charts, specimens, chemicals, apparatus, and equipments. Compound microscope and simple microscope are available in the lab.   

LIBRARY
Karunya University has a Central Library which consists of 82,660 books and 3200 e-journals in various specialized areas of technical education.  There are 6,250 books for education and 664 e-journals for education are available.  Further, there is a Digital Library facility, through which the students as well as the faculty members can accesses more than a million of books and journals for their reference purpose.   Apart from that, there is a Department Library available in the department of Education and there are 2100 books and 20 numbers of Journals are available.
