The Vision of the Department of Education is to serve the society by educating teacher educators, preparing educational leaders, to providing leadership and support for training and development, conducting educational research, and engaging in provincial, national and international programs and projects. The Department of Education is committed to ideals of service, outreach and the collaborative processes that shape the destiny of the nation in the classroom and mould the exemplary teachers.

MISSION

The Mission of the School of Science and Humanities is to provide holistic development in the areas of knowledge, skill and attitude by; extending personal care, spiritual nourishment, professional teaching and stimulating a thirst for research so as to raise spiritually developed, ethically strong and academically excellent graduate and post graduate teachers.

Raising Academically Excellent Graduates / Post Graduates and teachers

• Enhancing academic quality through effective teaching-learning methods
• Special Lectures will be arranged with subject experts
• Wide use of advanced technology in teaching – learning
• Providing internship training
• Motivating them through rewards and awards

 

Extending Professional Teaching

• Orientation & Refresher courses will be conducted for Engineering Arts & Science College Teachers
• In-service training programme will be conducted for School Teachers
• Training programme will be conducted for IT Industry Personnel for preparing Educational Software
