Introduction
Karunya University established Centre for Industrial Collaboration in the year 2001. The Centre effectively interacts with Industries through various innovative and unique programs to impart Application Knowledge to the Students and Faculty.
Objectives
The Centre for Industrial Collaboration (CIC) primarily functions as the Directorate of Placement & Training. The objectives of CIC are as follows:-

  •  To place all passing- out students through campus & off-campus interviews conducted by meritorious companies and to provide dignified placements regionally, nationally and internationally.

  • To render all assistance to the passed-out and non-placed alumni towards their fruitful employability.

  • To improve the employability of the passing- out students through career development programmes.

  • To conduct Faculty Development Programmes as well as Professional Enhancement Programmes to the Non- Teaching Staff (NTS), during the Summer Vacation just prior to the commencement of the academic year.

Related to Placement

a.

Placement of passing-out students through Campus and Off-Campus Interviews.

b.

Placement of non- placed alumni through Off- Campus Interviews.

c.

Offering a feed-back from recruiters on the performance of the candidates to the Directors and HoDs, on completion of the campus/ off-campus interviews for mid-course correction.

d.

 Identification of new corporates - initiating dialogues, providing required information to them and follow-up for empanelment of the University.

e.

Obtaining and handling student data, as required by the companies.

f.

Collating and providing data related to placement to relevant University authorities, as required from time to time.

Related to Training

    a)   Students Development Programmes 

    a.

     Imparting Soft Skills Training as part of the curriculum, in the name of 'Managerial Skills' for B.Tech students and 'Advanced Managerial Skills' for M.Tech and MCA students.

    b.

    Organizing Coaching Classes on General Aptitude, Group Discussion & Personal Interview in the pre-final year, with the help of external training agencies, during non- working hours.

    c.

    Co-ordinating industry- institution partnership during the Internship or Full Semester Project Study of the selected students in various companies.

    d.

    Monitoring of the coaching classes on Technical Aptitude being conducted by Schools / Departments.

    e.

    Conduct of Infosys Campus Connect Soft Skills Training to interested pre-final year students as well as successfully placed final year students.

    f.

      Conduct of entrance coaching classes such as CAT & GRE with the help of external training agencies, during non- working hours.
