it was found that the people did not maintain good sanitation facilities and the general hygiene was bad. Therefore they were given awareness about general hygiene and sanitation. They werw encouraged to build toilets either individually or pool in money as a group to construct one in order to maintain good hygiene.

A group of students from the Department Of Biotechnology did the blood group identification for the people in Sadivayal. They were provided with the blood group identification kit. The people showed great response.
Preparation of plastic elimination banners
Banners expressing the need for plastic elimination and to use bio degradable materials were prepared by the volunteers. These banners were prepared to be put up along the road to Kovai Kuttralam so that the tourists will not litter the area further with plastics.
Elimination of plastics in and around the village and school
the plastics in and around Sadivayal was eliminated by the volunteers. These plastics were collected in gunny bags and were properly disposed.
