With a crew of 97 volunteers, as helping the Child Labour Department of Coimbatore, our Karunya NSS unit surveyed the villages in and around pooluvapatti panchayat, to abolish the child labour. The survey was dated on 21st of july ‘08 .The villages surveyed are pooluvapatti, Nathegoundanpudur, Spic, kovilpathi,  Kilikoundanpalayam, vadivelampalayam Alandurai, Molapalayam, Seenevaspuram, Valayankotai, perumal kalimangalam, etc. The students were provided lunch, snacks during the survey. The child labour survey project was completed successfully by surveying around 1500 houses. The list of child labor was given to the government authorities and the team was appreciated for its noble work.
