On 6th August 2008 at around 9:30 A.M in Emmanuel Auditorium as a part of NSS (National Service Scheme) activity Karunya University conducted a Blood Donation Camp in its campus. The government hospital of Coimbatore came for the blood donation from Coimbatore.  It was well organized by the office bearers of NSS and the volunteers who participated for the blood donation camp.  Many students came to donate their blood enthusiastically in spite of their busy schedule and gave their precious blood to the helpless and for the good of human. The blood group like AB+, B+, A+, O-, AB-, B- and A- were in demand by the hospital. Above 150 students including the staff of Karunya University donated blood. Government hospital of Coimbatore visited our campus to assist the camp. All the representatives of NSS took immense care of the students who donated blood. Everything went on well by the grace of God.  Again NSS got a chance to help the people and stand for its own name.

The NSS unit of Karunya headed by the NSS program officer Dr. Franklin John organized a blood donation camp on Thursday, the 4th of September in view of our Chancellor Dr. Paul Dhinakaran’s 46th birthday celebrations joining hands with the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital, Coimbatore. The camp started at 10:00 AM and went on smoothly. The donors were from all the various departments. The camp was started by the honorable Vice Chancellor Dr.Paul.P.Appasamy &Registrar Dr.Anne Mary Fernaadaz .And our Vice Chancellor Dr.Paul.P.Appasamy donating a hospital Equipment to the doctors.  A team of around 15 members from Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital were present to assist in the blood donation camp
