Science, Technology and Innovation, Republic of Panama (SENACYT) on
August 4, 2012, the 7th Convocation day of the
University.

With IDBI Bank for
Online Payment Gateway Facility |
 |
Karunya
University has signed an MoU with IDBI Bank , Coimbatore for
online Payment Gateway Facility. The payment gateway enables
the students / parents to remit the fees through ATM/
Credit/Debit Cards of any bank ( VISA / Master Card)
maintained by the customer through online. This facility
provides hassle free environment for the students/ parents/
applicants for fee payment and thus helps to save their
precious time. IDBI banks online payment facility can be
utilized for all online fee payment irrespective of which
bank the customer is having account with and thus the
customer need not open an account with IDBI Bank.
Advantages of IDBIs online payment facility.

is no banker's commission or DD Charge or
Transaction charges for using this online facility
either for the students or parents. |

Students / parents and applicants can remit fee
through online with ATM Card ( Debit Card) / Credit

|
Karunya University, Coimbatore signed an MoU with Symbian to provide
hands on training in the following courses

Engine Development

Symbian OS: Essentials
As mobile communications is the frontier technology in today's
world, getting an exposure to the Operating System for a mobile is
very unique. The Symbian OS helps the students to be exposed in such
a technical area. Being trained in this field and with a Symbian OS
certification they could easily be placed in any of the top mobile
companies. This training involves a prerequisite of C++ with
complete OOP concepts.
The faculty of the Department of Computer Applications are trained
by Symbian to offer this training to Karunya University students.
The UG and PG students of various disciplines in Karunya University
could be enrolled to take up this training. At the end of the
training, the students will be assessed and given Internationally
accepted certificate by Symbian Software Limited.
Symbian Software Limited, a company incorporated in England and
Wales, with registered number 4190020, whose India office is at
Bangalore ('Symbian'). Symbian owns the intellectual property rights
in a proprietary operating system known as Symbian OS. Symbian has
developed a program to encourage academic institutions to train
students in the use of Symbian OS, known as the 'Symbian Academy'.

Microsystems India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore |
|
Karunya University has signed an MoU on 25th August 2008.
Karunya University has been identified as the "Authorised Academic
Sun Education Centre (ASEC)". This is the first of its kind in South
India and second of its kind in the whole India to establish such an
authorized learning Centre.
The collaboration
will entail setting up of a
unique faculty development
program, which
will package the advantages of Sun's academically superior
curriculum with Sun's industry expertise and market leadership
along with access to a
state-of-the-art curriculum of Sun's technologies, supported by
globally recognized and certified learning paths.
As part of this collaboration, Karunya University will
also
launch two diploma programs on Java technology and
mobile applications which will be supported by course material and
official curriculum from Sun Learning Services and Sun Professional
Certification Examinations. |

Oracle India Pvt Ltd.
|
The School of
Computer Science and Technology of Karunya University has
signed a MoU with Oracle India Pvt Ltd on the Oracle
workforce development program. The Vice Chancellor of Karunya University Dr. Paul P Appasamy exchanged the
agreement with Mr. Anand Kapai, Oracle India Pvt Ltd.
This MoU facilitates Karunya
University to receive technical support from Oracle India
Pvt Ltd for conducting Oracle Certification courses such as
Oracle Certified Associate and Oracle Certified Professional
on Administrator track as well as Developer Track to the
students. Faculty training, guest lectures by Oracle
professionals have also been planned to strengthen the
faculty team at Karunya University.
These interactions and certification courses will enable
students of Karunya University to be better fit for IT
companies and will attract multinational IT companies with
high initial salary. |

An MoU was signed
between Karunya University and Jasmin Infotech Private Ltd., Chennai, a leading business organization engaged in helping the world's leading product manufacturers to develop new products and enhance and sustain current products in hardware and software, on 22 April 2008. The
MoU will facilitate the
establishment of a common platform between the University and Jasmin Infotech to provide the students the opportunity to get trained under close industry expert guidance and the employees of Jasmin Infotech an opportunity to pursue their higher studies.Other major initiatives under this MoU are the establishment of a
"Centre of Excellence in Signal Processing" at the University premises, guidance for the students in project work/laboratory exercises by Jasmin Infotech professionals, running a co-certification course on
"Signal Processing", deputation of company employees for higher studies to Karunya University and short term deputation of company employees to Karunya University with a view to update their knowledge in selected areas. Memorandum of Understanding with CISCO systems
Cisco Systems signed an agreement with Karunya University on
5.11.07 to have its 'Regional - Local Academy' in the Karunya
University Campus. Mr. Jegan Jothivel, Cisco Area Academy
Manager - India & SAARC and Dr. Anne Mary Fernandez, Vice
Chancellor I/C, Karunya University signed the agreements in
the presence of the former Registrar Dr. Joseph Thomas and
Director I/C (Computer Science & Technology) Dr. Elijah
Blessing.
This agreement will enable Karunya University to
run CISCO certified programmes such as CCNA (Cisco Certified
Network Associate), Network Security and Wireless LAN. These
certification programmes will commence from Jan 2008 for the
Karunya University students. For the benefit of people from
Coimbatore, these certification courses will also be run at the
Karunya University City Centre. Karunya University is investing
one crore of rupees for developing the school of Computer
Science and Technology into a centre of Excellence in the areas
of Networking. |

Memorandum of Understanding with Nanonics Ltd.Israel
Karunya University,
Coimba tore and Nanonics Ltd., Israel signed an MoU on 15 October 2007 to
establish a Centre of Excellence in Nanoscience and Technology and to
take up application oriented R&D at Karunya University with expertise in
physics, electrical, electronics, bio-technology and University
Hospital. Collaboration between Karunya University and universities such
as Cornell University, Hebrew University and Hadassah medical hospital
is also envisaged according to the MoU.
A technical team from Nanonics Ltd., is to evolve
relevant programs for Centre of Excellence for Nanoscience and
Technology as a nodal centre in India for R&D and initiate
nanotechnology programs for under-graduate and post-graduate students to
meet the requirements of nanotechnologists in India.
Establishing a speciality hospital with stem cell research is one of the highlights of the MoU. Student Exchange Programme is another area identified for collaboration.

Ltd.
Red Hat India Ltd., has signed an
agreement with Karunya University, to have its Red Hat Academy
at Karunya University Campus. This MoU facilitates student,
faculty training on open source technologies and also to run
RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) certification course at
Karunya University Campus.

Memorandum of Understanding with
Tata Elxsi Ltd.
An MoU was signed with Tata Elxsi Ltd. On 15 march 2008 at Karunya University.
Under the terms of the MoU the signatories will explore the
development of technologies, improve capabilities of common
interest and engage in research projects. A common platform will
be established
between the
institute and the company which will give the students the
opportunity to get trained under close industry expert guidance
and the employees of TEL an opportunity to pursue higher
studies/research at Karunya. The MoU envisages to establish a
Centre of Excellence in VLSI domain at Karunya. TEL will
recommend project work and provide guidance to the students of
the University. The Vice Chancellor, Dr.Paul P.Appasamy and the
Registrar, Dr.Anne Mary Fernandez, Karunya University and
M.M.Thangarajan, General Manager & Head, Operations of Tata
Elxsi Ltd. signed the MoU. |

Memorandum of Understanding with Robotics Institute
Technosolutions Pvt.Ltd.
Karunya has entered into another Memorandum of Understanding
with Robotics Institute Technosolutions Pvt.Ltd, a service
provider in the business of development supply and operation of
products and services related to technical education and
training in the field of embedded systems. Under the MoU,
Karunya will open a TRI Innovation Centre at its premises which
will be certified by Indian Innovators Association and the
Company and backed by IIT, Bombay. The Innovation centre can
interact with various similar organisations nationally and
internationally. The company will help in client design, procure
and set up a robotics and embedded systems laboratory and
premium products proprietary software and training resources.

Memorandum
of Understanding with
SIEMENS Ltd., Mumbai
Karunya University
has signed an MoU with Siemens Ltd on 18th April
2008. As a result of this agreement, Karunya will make
available a pool of scientific personnel and trainers to Siemens
for providing learning solution consultancy to the personnel
from Industry and Academia. The agreement envisages to
synergise the expertise and infrastructure available with
Karunya and technical expertise of Siemens to provide world
class training to personnel from both industries and academics
at Karunya University. It is noteworthy to mention that this
will be the first Siemens training centre in Southern India
other than the existing one in Mumbai, catering to the clients
of Siemens in the entire southern region.
