The Department of Computer Applications of School of Computer Science and Technology, Karunya University was established in the year 1995. The Department offers 3 years full time & part time MCA (Master of Computer Applications), 2 years Full Time M.Sc(Networking Technology), M.Phil and Ph.D programmes. A majority of the students from these disciplines are placed in top level multinational companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, HCL Technologies etc. through campus recruitment. The MCA program has been ranked as 6th in South India level by Silicon India. The Department has 3 faculty with Ph.D. and 15 faculty pursuing research in various upcoming areas. The Department offers soft cores in prominent areas like Data Mining, Networking and Software Engineering. The programmes conducted by the Department aims at the development of various skill sets in Computer Applications and Networking Technology and all around personality by inculcating values of Honesty, Sincerity and Team spirit.
