The Department of Bioinformatics was established in 2005.The department aims to develop the student's critical, analytical and problem solving skills. It also acknowledges in nurturing application of scientific knowledge from theory to practical industry and to the service of mankind,leadership quality with moral & ethical values and self motivation

The mission of the School of Bioinformatics is to provide holistic development of value based, world class bioinformatics and entrepreneurs by exploring and nurturing their potential, so as to discover novel bio softwares and to extend services to the rural community, public and the environment.

Our Features

The department has around 264 students and about 10 erudite staff who teach how to think rather what to think. The students are not only trained in academic excellence but are also encouraged to acquire industry exposure through in-plant training sessions to be in the vanguard of pioneering dexterity .The learning atmosphere being more practical oriented makes the transition from an educational institution to an industry effortless.
